Cantina Clavesana

Cantina Clavesana

Cantina Clavesana is a growers' cooperative founded in 1959 by 32 winegrowing families in the village of Clavesana, in the western Langhe hills near Dogliani, roughly 30 km from Alba. It now counts around 200 members, led by president Giovanni Bracco, farming some 320 hectares of hillside vineyard between 200 and 500 metres, within the Langhe's UNESCO World Heritage landscape. Dolcetto has always been its backbone, and the cooperative calls itself the leading producer of Dogliani DOCG in the Langhe, including, since 2019, a first organic bottling. Alongside Dolcetto, the range has grown to include Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barbera, Roero Arneis, Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, Viognier, Nascetta and an Alta Langa metodo classico spumante, split between an everyday Terra line and a more ambitious Mito selection that includes a single-vineyard Barolo from the Ravera cru of Novello.
