A Barbaresco DOCG from a south-facing plot in the Barbaresco commune planted in 1966, aged about 26 months partly in barrique.

Tasting notes

Deep garnet red with orange reflexes; wide, rich bouquet with violet, sometimes fruit, cocoa, vanilla and tobacco from the oak; full, persistent palate with a wide structure of ripe, round tannins.

Vinification
Fermented and macerated at least a week at 28-32C, then kept on lees at 20-22C for at least two months for malolactic fermentation. Aged about 26 months, partly in new and once-used barriques (225 L), and released after at least 6 months further in the cellar.
