A single-MGA Barbaresco Riserva DOCG from the 0.37 ha Marcarini cru in Treiso, planted in 1985, benefiting from morning sun and a cooler late afternoon.

Tasting notes

Rich, complex nose with spice and red fruit; great structure on the palate, soft and persistent, with fine, enveloping tannins free of bitterness.

Vinification
Fermented at least a week at 28-32C, kept on fine lees at 20-22C for at least two months for malolactic fermentation. Aged about 30 months, part in traditional 2,000-3,000 L oak casks, bottled more than three years after harvest and rested further in bottle before release.
