Red
Dü Gir
By Montaribaldi, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
A Barbera d'Alba DOC from the Du Gir vineyard in Alba, planted in 1930 and aged 18-20 months in oak barriques; the wine the estate has entered most often in international guides (Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Gambero Rosso, Robert Parker).
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with blackish-purple reflexes; very fruity (black berries, plums) bouquet balanced with vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa and tobacco from the oak; outstandingly full, round and well-balanced.
