An Albugnano Nebbiolo named for the 549 m altitude of the commune of Albugnano, aged at least 30 months.

Tasting notes

Pale ruby tending to garnet with age. Winey, ethereal and fruity, with cooked fruit, spice and a delicate hint of wood. Full-bodied with elegant tannin, savoury, persistent and harmonious.

Pairs well with

Grilled or roast red meats and flavourful or blue cheeses.

Vinification
Long maceration of up to 10 to 12 days at a maximum of 26 C, with pump-overs and delestage; full run-off of the seeds within 72 hours. Malolactic fermentation in glass-lined concrete tanks, then large barrels. Matured at least 30 months in large barrel and bottle.
Serving temperature
20 to 22 C, in large glasses, ideally decanted first
