Vite Colte Masseria dei Carmelitani

A fresh, un-malolactic Gavi del Comune di Gavi from sandy-marl soils, ready early in the new year.

Tasting notes

Colour: straw yellow with greenish hints. Bouquet: lively, generous aromas of ripe fruits and flowers, herbaceous. Palate: soft textured and graceful, balanced with marked fruit and floral complexity, good acidity and a dry finish.

Municipality of Gavi, province of Alessandria, 250-300 metres above sea level.
Soil
Mainly sandy-marl, with deep marls alternating with layers of sandstone, colours from light brown to light.
Vinification
Soft pressing, clear free run must ferments at 16-17 degrees C for about ten days. No malolactic fermentation, to maintain a slightly acidic vein, followed by a short period of bottle ageing.
