Vite Colte Essenze

A single-commune Barolo from Serralunga d'Alba, known for the Lequio Formation soils and 24 months of oak ageing.

Tasting notes

Colour: red, tending towards garnet. Bouquet: intense and complex, with notes of dried flowers such as rose and violet, as well as vanilla and tobacco. Palate: dry and warm with good body, a long finish of ripe fruit and berries with balsamic notes.

Municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, at altitudes between 330 and 410 metres above sea level.
Soil
Marine sedimentary origin dating to the Piedmont Tertiary Basin, sedimentary calcareous clay marl alternating with sand or sandstone, featuring the Lequio Formation with evident layers of sand alternating with sandstone and marl.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation follows harvest, with maceration on skins for about 20 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel. The wine ages in small oak barrels for 24 months, followed by a further twelve months in the bottle before release.
