Vite Colte Essenze

A single-commune Barolo from Monforte d'Alba, grown on Diano Sandstone soils and aged 24 months in oak.

Tasting notes

Colour: red, tending towards garnet. Bouquet: intense and complex, with notes of dried flowers such as rose and violet, and spices like vanilla and tobacco. Palate: dry and warm with good body, a long finish of ripe fruit and berries joined by balsamic notes.

Municipality of Monforte d'Alba, at altitudes between 370 and 480 metres above sea level.
Soil
Marine sedimentary origin dating to the Piedmont Tertiary Basin, sedimentary calcareous clay marl alternating with sand or sandstone, with a prevalence of Diano Sandstone.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation follows harvest, with maceration on skins for about 20 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel. The wine ages in small oak barrels for 24 months, followed by a further twelve months in the bottle before release.
