Cantina della Serra Rapela

Barbera from selected bunches ('rapela' is Piedmontese for bunch), aged at least 18 months in concrete and steel, 15% alcohol. Won a gold medal at the 2020 Mondial des Vins Extremes (2019 vintage).

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red. Intense, fruity and spicy, from blackberry to liquorice. Fresh, intense, slightly savoury and spicy, with tobacco and black pepper alternating with black cherry and herbal, minty hints. Very fruity Barbera.

Suitable for a whole meal and for contemplation; boiled meats with intense sauces
