Arione

Arione is a family house in Canelli, in the Asti hills, now in its fourth generation and run by brothers Mauro and Luca Arione. The site dates the business to 1870 and credits Luigi Arione with starting the winery in the early 1900s. The family works two cellars: the historic one in Canelli and its estate at Castiglione Tinella, with vineyards in the Langhe and Monferrato. The range is wide, from Asti, Moscato d'Asti and Brachetto sparkling wines to Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Gavi, Roero Arneis and everyday frizzante reds and whites, sold under lines such as Contessa di Castiglione, Altefrange and Ricò. Both sites hold BRC, IFS and ISO 9001 certification. Canelli is a small town long tied to Moscato and sparkling wine, set in a part of Piemonte within the UNESCO vineyard landscape.
