Nizza Riserva from the Crivelletto cru: Barbera with 30 months in French oak barrels and 6 months in concrete eggs.

Tasting notes

Bright ruby red gradually developing light garnet hues. Delicate, persistent bouquet of red berry fruits with notes of ripe black cherry and subtle spice. Full-bodied, bold and well balanced.

Pairs well with

Roasted meats, braised dishes, agnolotti with roast gravy and aged cheese.

Medium mixture soils with a sandy-marl component, with iron and magnesium.

Vinification
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with manual punch-downs at 28°C. After 10 days racked into 500-litre French oak barrels to slowly complete alcoholic fermentation; malolactic fermentation induced and completed at controlled ambient temperature. 30 months of ageing in wood, then 6 months in oeuf de Beaune concrete eggs. Bottled after a single, very gentle filtration.
