Secondine
By Prunotto, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Secondine is one of the most historic sub-zones of Barbaresco, recognized as such as early as 1879 by Lorenzo Fantini and later mapped by Renato Ratti in 1984.
Tasting notes
Clear bright red with ruby hues. Generous and refined on the nose, with violets, forest floor, roses and small red fruit, especially raspberry, leading to spice and liquorice. Elegant and captivating on the palate, with close-knit texture, mineral notes, and ripe, savoury tannins.
