Pian Romualdo
By Prunotto, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Pian Romualdo, first produced in 1961 from Prunotto's vineyards in Monforte d'Alba, is prized for the freshness and ageing potential that day-night temperature swings bring to this Barbera.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red. Complex on the nose, with blackberry, cherry, strawberry and red fruit jam, alongside spicy hints of cinnamon, vanilla and green pepper. Well-balanced and generous on the palate, sustained by characteristic Barbera freshness.
Pairs well with
Pasta dishes, cured meats, grilled vegetables.
