Mompertone
By Prunotto, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Mompertone comes from the Monferrato area, where limestone-clay soils veined with sand give the wine its round palate and elegant tannins.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red with violet hues. Enveloping on the nose, with rich cherry and forest floor meeting spice, vanilla and cocoa. Generous, velvety and persistent on the palate, with supple, elegant tannins.
Pairs well with
Red meats, pasta dishes, aged cheeses.
