Enrico Serafino San Defendente

A single-vineyard Barbera d'Alba Superiore from the San Defendente vineyard in Canale, which the estate calls complex and multi-faceted, with an inviting richness of red fruit aromas and flavours.

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red with typical violet reflections, a broad, complex, vinous nose of violet, cherry, redcurrant, spice and tobacco with strong persistence, and a rich, redcurrant-fruited palate, surprisingly fresh and velvety, with a fine structure and a pleasant silky acidity softened by oak ageing.

Pairs well with

Pasta, risotto, barbecue, cheese and cured meats.
