Poggio della Rupe

Enrico Serafino Poggio della Rupe

Poggio della Rupe's Monterotondo vineyard sits on a gypsum-sulphur soil the estate says gives this Gavi an unusually complex, long-ageing character for the variety.

Tasting notes

Straw yellow with typical greenish reflections, a broad, complex nose of wildflowers, lavender, sage and fresh fruit such as citrus, white peach and apricot, and a fresh, mineral, intense palate with good body balanced by pronounced acidity and very long persistence.

Pairs well with

Fish, shellfish and sushi, also holding up to strongly flavoured sauces; excellent as an aperitif.
