Montefico Vecchie Viti

By Roagna, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy

Roagna Montefico Vecchie Viti

Made from the family's old vines in Montefico, the estate's longest continually vinified vineyard; bottled as Barbaresco Montefico from 2004 to 2006 and as Vecchie Viti since the 2007 vintage, about 1,000 bottles a year.

Tasting notes

This Barbaresco Montefico Vecchie Viti reveals a garnet red color with complex aromas of dried roses, tar, and forest floor. The palate is powerful and structured, with firm tannins and a long, savory finish.
