Production area
Municipality of Barolo, Terlo geographical mention, on the hills linking Novello with La Morra; the plot borders the Coste MGA and lies close to Ravera.
Vineyard planting
0.17 hectares planted in 1967; Nebbiolo from this parcel has been used for this wine since 2013.
Vinification
Each vineyard is picked once the grapes reach full physiological maturity, judged by the ripeness of the pips; harvest is by hand into small crates, and the fruit is given two manual selections before vinification. Fermentation runs about ten days in wooden vats with a pied de cuve of indigenous yeasts, followed by an ancient submerged-cap maceration of about 60 to 70 days, then roughly five years of ageing in neutral oak and concrete vats.
