Red
Nebbiolo d'Alba
By F.lli Giacosa, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
An easier-drinking Nebbiolo from vineyards on the Tanaro's left bank, released after a year's bottle ageing.
Tasting notes
A moderately intense, brilliant ruby red, turning slightly garnet with age. Delicate bouquet reminiscent of violets. Dry, lively and fruity when young, becoming soft and velvety after bottle age.
Pairs well with
Excellent with roasts and grilled meats, mixed fry, fondues and medium-mature cheeses.
