White
Ca' Lunga
By F.lli Giacosa, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's top Chardonnay selection, aged partly in cask; the producer's own vineyard page names it, alongside Rorea, as one of two distinct wines made from the Cascina Rorea grapes.
Tasting notes
Deep straw yellow. Intense bouquet of yellow flowers in bloom, ripe fruit, vanilla and liquorice. Well structured, balancing grape sapidity with tannin from the wood.
Pairs well with
Ideal with white meats, especially fried breaded mushrooms.
