Red
Grignolino d'Asti
By F.lli Giacosa, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
A light, aromatic red from the Grignolino grape, which the producer notes takes its name from the Piedmontese dialect word for the grape's numerous seeds.
Tasting notes
Pale ruby red, gaining an orange tone with age. Delicate, persistent bouquet reminiscent of roses. Dry, pleasant and fresh, with a gently robust body and slightly noticeable tannins; best drunk young.
Pairs well with
Good with meat starters and mild first courses.
