Red
Barbaresco
By F.lli Giacosa, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's entry-level Barbaresco, made from Nebbiolo grown across their vineyards; the producer notes that even plots within the same subarea give differing characteristics.
Tasting notes
Ruby red turning garnet red with age. Intense yet delicate bouquet reminiscent of violets, fruit and currant jelly. Dry, smooth, full-bodied and delicately velvety on the palate.
Pairs well with
Ideal with roast meats and feathered game.
