Barbera d'Asti from the Champagnotta Napoleonica range, aged at least 6 months in oak. Sold in 50 cl.

Tasting notes

Deep red with garnet reflections. Intense red fruit with spice, tobacco and eucalyptus. Decisive, rich, with a pleasant, persistent finish of fruit and cocoa.

Pairs well with

A whole-meal wine; elaborate first courses, red and white meat and fresh or medium-aged cheeses.

Vinification
Macerated on the skins in automatic temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with repeated pumping over and oxygenation until all sugars are fermented; then racked and left on fine lees for malolactic fermentation. Aged at least 6 months in oak barrels and then in bottle.
