Bersano Mantico

Barbaresco from the Barbaresco communes, aged at least 18 months in large oak barrels.

Tasting notes

Intense garnet red. Marasca cherry opening into blackcurrant, cocoa and violet, with a final goudron note. Rich and persistent on the palate with soft tannins, leather, liquorice and pepper, withered violet and ripe plum.

Pairs well with

Game, red meats, elaborate main courses and strong-flavoured cheeses.

Vinification
Macerated on the skins in automatic temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with repeated pumping over and oxygenation until all sugars are fermented; then racked and left on fine lees for malolactic fermentation. Aged at least 18 months in large oak barrels and bottle.
