Barrique-aged Chardonnay from Cascina Castelgaro in Mombaruzzo. Described as long-lived.

Tasting notes

Straw yellow. Broad, balanced, complex nose with floral notes, hints of apricot, ripe pear and vanilla. Soft and round.

Pairs well with

Shellfish and seafood, creamy risottos, delicate white meats, aged cheeses and refined cuisine with soft, enveloping flavours.

Vinification
Hand-picked best bunches, soft pressing, low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel; halfway through fermentation the must is moved to barriques until all sugars are fermented. Aged 6 to 8 months in barriques with bâtonnage, then at least 9 months in bottle.
