Roberto Sarotto Barolo Chinato

An aromatised wine based on the estate's Barolo DOCG, infused with cinchona bark and spices.

Tasting notes

Very intense ruby red with orange tints.

Dried fruit such as figs and nuts, small pastries and spicy desserts such as gingerbread or cardamom cookies, coffee or cocoa desserts, and sweet blue cheeses such as Gorgonzola or Stilton

Temperature-controlled fermentation with extended maceration; aged in oak and then steel to make the base Barolo DOCG, then flavoured with an infusion of calissaja cinchona bark, cloves, cinnamon, coriander and cardamom seeds before a slow maceration and bottling
