Red
Ceppi Vecchi
By Cantina Sociale di Nizza, Nizza, Piemonte, Italy
The cooperative's first Nizza, made from the oldest and best-exposed vineyards on the most vocated hills, hence the name. Barbera 100%, 14% vol.
Tasting notes
Intense garnet with warmer reflections over time. Elegant nose of violet, small red fruits and tobacco. Structured and harmonious on the palate, with persistent, soft tannins and a pleasant finish.
Pairs well with
Moderate tannins and ripe, crisp fruit make it a food-friendly wine: typical Piedmontese and other national dishes, second courses, braised red meat and aged hard cheeses. Unusual pairing: dark chocolate.
