White
Derthona
By Cantina Sociale di Nizza, Nizza, Piemonte, Italy
Timorasso, a historic native white variety made to age, described as heroic and low-yielding. 100% Timorasso, 13.5% vol.
Tasting notes
Straw yellow with golden reflections. Complex aromas that move from acacia and wildflower honey to hydrocarbons only after 4 or 5 years of ageing. Mineral in its dominant notes; warm, thanks to an alcohol level that blends with the structure and body.
Pairs well with
A versatile pairing wine: in early life an aperitif, then with age first courses, white meat and even important aromatic preparations.
