Lagaia

By Cantina Sant'Evasio, Nizza, Piemonte, Italy

Cantina Sant'Evasio Lagaia

A blend of Arneis and Nascetta (with Chardonnay per the estate's own product listing), named Lagaia after the winemaker's daughter, with a label redesigned every harvest to follow her growth.

Tasting notes

Crystalline, fairly deep straw yellow. Intense, fairly complex, fine bouquet: fruity (white-fleshed fruit), floral (white and yellow field flowers), mineral. Dry, fairly warm, soft, fresh, fairly sapid palate with body, balanced, intense, persistent and refined.

Pairs well with

Good for aperitivo, brunch, antipasti and fish dishes; suited to a few years of bottle ageing.
