Nebbiolo from 1967 vines in Piobesi and Guarene, aged 18 months in oak.

Tasting notes

Ruby with violet reflections. Very rich and complex nose of red fruit and spice. Full and important on the palate, with a long, harmonious finish and soft tannin.

Pairs well with

A wine for contemplation; suited to aged cheeses, game and red meat.

Vinification
Nine days of fermentation with manual punch-downs and délestage. Part goes to large wooden casks, part to barriques and part to steel for malolactic fermentation. Ages 18 months in oak, rests three months, then six months in bottle before sale. Alcohol 14 to 14.5%, total acidity 5.2 to 5.6 g/l. Ageing potential over 10 years.
