Oak-aged Chardonnay from an east-facing vineyard in Alba planted in 1989.

Tasting notes

Straw yellow. Nose of dried apricot pulp, quince, ripe banana, vanilla and sweet tobacco. Full and rich on the palate, with a good balance of fruit and spice.

Pairs well with

White meats, fish, fermented or aged cheeses.

Vinification
Free-run must only (60% of the must), fermented at a controlled 17 to 18 C. Part is moved to barriques and part to steel for malolactic fermentation. Ages 12 months in medium-sized French oak, rests three months, then six months in bottle. Alcohol 12.5 to 13%, total acidity 5.5 to 5.6 g/l. Ageing potential over 6 years.
