Red
Barolo
By Renato Buganza, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
Nebbiolo from La Morra, aged 18 to 22 months in French and Slavonian wood. The producer describes it as a wine that ages slowly in bottle for decades.
Tasting notes
Garnet red with violet reflections. Floral and spicy notes blend on the nose. Rich, full-bodied and elegant on the palate, with liquorice, cherries in spirit, cocoa and dog rose.
Pairs well with
Game, red meats and braised dishes; also with dishes rich in white Alba truffle.
