White
Coclicò
By Renato Buganza, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
Orange wine from skin-macerated Arneis, in the old peasant tradition of the Roero. Coclicò is the local word for poppy. Part of the family's Radici e Filari line.
Tasting notes
Golden yellow. Complex and harmonious nose, a burst of citrus, dried fruit, poppy and acacia flowers. Intense and elegant, with marked minerality and good savouriness, and a long, balanced finish.
Pairs well with
Works through a whole meal, as an aperitif or on its own; the producer likes it with ravioli al plin dressed with butter and herbs.
