Sweet
Birbet
By Rabino, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
A lightly sparkling sweet red from 100% Brachetto grown on the sandy Bric Tupin hill, 6.5% alcohol with 70 g/l residual sugar. About 3,000 bottles are made; ageing potential 1 year.
Tasting notes
Pale garnet with violet reflections. Delicate, soft, aromatic nose of ripe fruit such as plum and apple, and fresh flowers such as violets and roses. Sweet and delicate on the palate, with a fine, persistent perlage.
Pairs well with
Desserts; also fruit, such as strawberries and the peaches of Canale.
