La Matta comes from a careful selection of grapes from the Casa vineyard in Monticello d'Alba, giving the wine an elegant, dynamic style suited to both immediate drinking and further ageing; it is only produced in the best vintages.
Tasting notes
Explosion of fruit and flowers: ripe red fruit such as raspberry and redcurrant, violet and rose, hibiscus and tea leaf notes; dry, with pleasant tannins, black olive tapenade, light burnt caramel and licorice.
