Piazzo Comm. Armando Strangè

A barrel-fermented Langhe Chardonnay from the Madonna di Como vineyard in Alba, built with the structure and ageing potential of a red wine.

Tasting notes

Colour: crystal-clear, yellow with golden highlights. Nose: elegant, with intense scents of ripe yellow and tropical fruit mingled with buttery notes. Taste: full-bodied and enveloping, with a good balance of structure and finesse, excellent freshness and savouriness, and subtle hints of spice.

Pairs well with

First courses, fish; also good with sushi, poke and charcuterie and cheese board

The two batches are then blended and spend a further three months or so in stainless steel before bottling, then ages a few more months in bottle before release.
