Red
Scaletta
By Piazzo Comm. Armando, Alba, Piemonte, Italy
A single-vineyard Dolcetto from the steeply sloped Scaletta vineyard in Alba, harvested and vinified separately to give more structure and body than a typical Dolcetto d'Alba.
Tasting notes
Colour: purple-red with ruby highlights. Nose: intense, with fruity notes of cherry, plum and blackberry, floral and slightly spicy. Taste: warm and full-bodied, with soft tannins, a vinous aftertaste and good length.
Pairs well with
First courses, charcuterie and cheese board; also good with shellfish, vegetables and pizza
