Single-vineyard Roero Arneis from Canale, partly matured in small French oak barrels, sold under a black label.

Tasting notes

Intense yellow colour. Intense bouquet of exotic fruit, mandarin peel and vanilla. Rich and velvety on the palate, with long persistence and an aftertaste that recalls the bouquet.

Pairs well with

Excellent as an aperitif; perfect with salmon, pasta and white meat, and with fresh, soft cheeses.

Vinification
After soft pressing, the must is separated from the skins and fermented at low temperature, after refrigeration and static settling. Part of the wine matures in small French oak barrels (225 l), the site giving the duration only as '12', while the rest ages in steel tanks. The two parts are then blended and aged in steel until bottling.
