Red
Vallegrande
By Ca' del Baio, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's most traditional-style Barbaresco, grown on the vineyards surrounding the winery and aged, as in the past, exclusively in large casks.
Tasting notes
Garnet red colour. Intense nose of powerful fruit, dried flowers and underbrush. Dry, smooth and rounded on the palate, with a warm finish and nicely balanced tannins.
Pairs well with
Roast and terrine meats, mature cheeses and fondues, meat and vegetable soups.
