Red
Pora
By Ca' del Baio, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
Made almost as a challenge, Pora comes from one of Barbaresco's most extensive and long-lived historic crus, first vinified separately by the estate in 2004.
Tasting notes
Bright garnet red. Intense, complex nose of plum and blackberry with vanilla and roasted hazelnut spice. Full-bodied, soft and tannic on the palate, a big but flavoursome wine.
Pairs well with
Braised and baked red meats and game, and mature cheeses; pairs well with chocolate when mature.
