A pure Barbera vinified in cement in the traditional style, light-bodied, fresh, fruity and simple to drink.

Tasting notes

Deep violet colour, with expressive aromas of cherry and blackberry. Fresh and vertical on the palate, with lively acidity typical of the variety and a subtle spicy finish, resulting in an easy-drinking, approachable wine.

Pairs well with

Typical: meat-based pasta dishes, white and red meats, eggs. Top: lasagne al forno. Unusual: hummus and falafel.

Vinification
Hand-harvested grapes in 18 kg crates are gently destemmed and transferred into concrete vats, where fermentation takes place. After 10-15 days, at the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine is racked off. Malolactic fermentation and aging take place in concrete until bottling, typically the spring following the harvest. Alcohol 12.5-13% vol.
