Dolcetto d'Alba

By G.D. Vajra, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy

G.D. Vajra Dolcetto d'Alba

Dolcetto from vines 25 to 60 years old on the high western hills between Barolo and Novello, kept entirely in steel to preserve freshness.

Tasting notes

Deep, bright violet colour. Refined, expressive nose of raspberry, blackcurrant, plum and cherry, lifted by delicate floral accents and a hint of nutmeg. Vibrant, finely woven palate with soft tannins; layers of ripe red and dark fruit lead to a long, composed finish.
