Barbera Superiore

By G.D. Vajra, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy

G.D. Vajra Barbera Superiore

Barbera d'Alba Superiore from the estate's steepest, most demanding vineyards, including old vines planted by Aldo's great-grandfather Carlo “Carlin” Vaira in 1949.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby colour. Nose opening on violet, then plum, cherry, blackcurrant and raspberry, with light balsamic tones and gentle spice. Rich yet vibrant palate around a core of dark fruit and silky tannins; long, persistent, delicately balsamic finish.
