Red
Coste&Fossati
By G.D. Vajra, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
A limited Dolcetto d'Alba from antique biotypes Aldo Vaira identified and collected between 1979 and 1985, grafted onto two of the estate's best plots for unusual ageing potential.
Tasting notes
Intense purple colour. Floral notes, small red fruit, licorice and balsamic hints on the nose. Very fine on the palate, with a raspberry-like acidity and round, balanced tannin; blackberry, fresh plum and blackcurrant complete the profile.
