Malvasia di Casorzo
By Dezzani, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Malvasia di Casorzo DOC is an ancient aromatic red-berried variety of Piemonte, produced in the Asti and Alessandria provinces; grapes are harvested in early September, chilled and partially re-fermented at low temperature. Best consumed within 2 years.
Tasting notes
Typically cherry red color. Extremely intense and immediate on the nose thanks to evident fruity and floral notes, in particular rose, peach, apricot, redcurrant and raspberry. Sweet and aromatic on the palate.
Pairs well with
Ideal with tarts, dry pastries, and also with ice cream and fruit.
