Gattone is a passito (dried grape) Piemonte DOC Barbera, with an aging potential of about 10 years from harvest.
Tasting notes
Deep red color with violet highlights, very intense and complex aromas with pronounced notes of blackberry, black cherry and ripe red fruit, almost jammy. Excellent structure and body, velvety and enveloping on the palate with extraordinary persistence.
Pairs well with
Ideal with well aged cheeses and dark chocolate. An excellent meditation wine.
