Barolo from the San Giacomo vineyard in La Morra, 100% Nebbiolo, aged about 36 months in large French oak casks. 14.5% alcohol.
Tasting notes
Dark garnet colour. Very fruity and spicy on the nose with ripe cherry notes and great cleanliness. Warm and structured on the palate, rich and solid, with firm tannin.
Pairs well with
Rich meat sauces, red meats cooked slowly, beef stews and braises in red wine, very aged cheeses (sheep, goat or mixed cow), dark chocolate.
