Collina Serragrilli
Collina Serragrilli is a family estate in Neive, on the Barbaresco side of the Langhe. Four generations of the Lequio family have worked the hill since the end of the nineteenth century, and the cellar sits on top of it, with the vineyards all around. The wines come only from the family's own grapes, on about 15 hectares. The Barbaresco crus are Sorì Serragrilli and Starderi, and there is a Barolo from the San Giacomo vineyard in La Morra. The range also covers Barbera and Dolcetto d'Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, Roero Arneis, Gavi di Gavi and Moscato d'Asti. Reds age in French oak: barriques, tonneaux and casks, with large 25 hl casks for the traditional Barbaresco. The estate says it does not use concentration or reverse osmosis. Neive is a hill town in the Barbaresco zone, about 15 km from Alba, with a well-preserved historic centre.
