Red
Lazzarito
By Casa E. di Mirafiore, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Barolo from Lazzarito, mid-hillside at 350-400m and considered the estate's most prestigious vineyard, aged in 2,000-14,000 litre barrels for two years plus further bottle age.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with garnet highlights, a sumptuous bouquet of ripe plums, tobacco, mint, rosemary, cinnamon and dried mushrooms. Very dense, closely woven tannins, soft and balanced.
Pairs well with
Big red meat dishes and medium to mature cheeses; also good after-dinner conversation.
