Red
Barolo
By Casa E. di Mirafiore, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's classic Barolo DOCG, a selection of vineyards named after their village of origin in Serralunga d'Alba. Ages two years in medium and large oak barrels (2,000-14,000 litres) plus further bottle ageing before release.
Tasting notes
Garnet red with ruby highlights that turn slightly orange with age. Clear-cut, intense nose of vanilla, spice, withered roses and underbrush. Dry but soft on the palate, full-bodied, velvety, well-balanced and very long-lasting, with nutmeg, laurel, black pepper, red fruit and black liquorice, powerful harmonious tannins and fresh acidity.
